VRoooom Technology develops
various web sites using the following languages:
HTML, DHTML, Javascript, Coldfusion, SQL, ASP,
.Net, VB, or C++.
The ColdFusion and MX web application
server is one of the fastest ways to develope scalable
applications that integrate browser, server and database
technologies.
For e-commerce or business automation,
whether over intranets, or the internet,
ColdFusion gives you the power to develop and
deploy some of the most advanced websites and web-based
software available. The
What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get
(WYSIWYG) visual interface is fast and
friendly, allowing development time to be dramatically
accelerated compared to other web languages.
ColdFusion provides security
on every level from development through deployment,
so you can rest at ease knowing that your site is safe.
Not only is ColdFusion secure, ColdFusion Server
is a proven technology that scales to deliver reliability
for up to several thousand hits per second on a dedicated
line, and stability on even the most demanding web programs.
HTML is the abbreviation of HyperText
Markup Language, which is the authoring language
used to create documents on the Web. HTML is quite similar
to SGML, but is not a strict subset. Its structure and
layout are developed by the use of various tags and
attributes.
Dynamic HTML is simply content that
changes each time it is viewed. This type of HTML language
can be produced using CGI scripts, Server-Side Includes
(SSI), cookies, Java, JavaScript, and ActiveX. The extensions
associated with this language enables a web page to
react to the user's input without sending requests to
the web server.
JavaScript is a scripting language
that was developed by Netscape. It enables web authors
to design interactive web sites. Many of its features
are shared with the Java language, but it was developed
to be used independently. JavaScript can interact with
HTML codes, thereby, creating dynamic content.
SQL stands for structured query
language. This language is a standardized query
language used to request information from a database.
SQL is supported by PC database systems because it supports
distributed databases. This allows several users on
a local area network to access the same database simultaneously.
Active Server Pages is abbreviated
as ASP and also means application service provider.
This is simply a specification for a dynamically created
web page with a .ASP extension that utilizes ActiveX
scripting (usually VB Script or Jscript code). When
a browser requests an ASP, the web server creates a
page with HTML code and sends it back to the browser.
There is much similarity with the usage of CGI scripts.
Visual Basic programmers are quite familiar with these
tools.
.NET is a Microsoft operating system
platform that incorporates applications and a suite
of tools and services that changes the infrastructure
of the company's web strategy.
There are four main principles of .NET:
it erases the boundaries between applications
and the Internet, software will be rented as a hosted
service over the Internet instead of purchased on a
store shelf, users have access to their information
on the Internet from any device anytime, anywhere, and
it enables new ways to interact with application data,
such as speech and handwriting recognition.
.NET depends on the following Internet
standards: HTTP, XML, SOAP, and UDDI. This new
technology enables Internet users to integrate fax,
e-mail and phone services, centralize data storage,
and synchronize all of a user's computing devices to
be automatically updated.
Visual Basic was one of the first
products to provide a graphical programming environment
and a paint metaphor for developing user interfaces.
Visual Basic programmers can add a substantial amount
of code by simply dragging and dropping controls (buttons,
dialog boxes), then define their appearance and behavior.
This language is not a true object-oriented programming
language, but it strongly incorporates the language's
philosophy. It is sometimes referred to as an event-driven
language because each object can react to different
events such as a mouse click.
C++ is a high-level programming
language developed by Bjarne Stroustrup at Bell Labs.
It adds object-oriented features to its predecessor,
C. C++
is one of the most popular programming languages for
graphical applications.
